The dutch and the danish cities may have the best cycling infrastructure in the world. But hey, Berne has some world-class cycling routes as well. A sunny morning on the Kornhausbrücke. The old town in front, a swiss postcard-panorama on the left, a pleasant breeze around your face. Rows of cyclist ahead and behind. Can you imagine a better start in the day?

Officially lettered in dutch since the UEFA Euro 2008 - a good omen for cycling? 

Conclusion: 

A giant leap has still to be taken for a better cycling infrastructure in Berne. But there are already some qualities as well! And that should be one of the key messages for promoting bicycle traffic.
